 And with Blue Ice I have decided to end the blog. Originally I was going to officially conclude the blog with 3 GOTY posts but I decided not to. See I wanted to end the blog on 72 posts. It would have just been a perfect number and place to stop in my opinion. However, after duplicating and remastering Darkplace it threw off the count. After reflecting on it I finally decided that a GOTY post wouldn't make sense and that I would rather end the blog on a random note. 

So I got together two remaining soundtracks I had remastered and posted them up (Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday and Blue Ice). The blog was already in the endgame and I just can't see myself doing 3 massive posts. Too busy with other projects. There's still a month left in the year so my GOTY is still subject to change. If they are what I expect then 2nd and 1st place will likely be 5000+ words each. 
There was also a bit of issue with the length of the blog. I recently wrote something that I had considered to be my longest work. If I continue this blog there's a chance the blog will surpass it. And I don't want that. 

Originally this blog was just a writing excercise and way to dump all these soundtracks I enjoyed. I still have a bunch but ehn, I am going to end it here. Don't really have much to say on the whole writing process. It was my first time ever running a blog. It was alright. 

There are two more things I want to write about before concluding. My issue with soundtracks in general and what's next. I've ranted about it several times on this blog but I always find soundtrack lengths too short. A lot of composers and rippers miss this when dumping soundtracks. The songs are always too short! This is because songs are meant to loop and they would only release one loop. Imo, that's unacceptable. It makes a general listening experience much harder since all the songs are 0-1 minute long. In an average game you're not going to hear the song for a min. You'll here it many many many times over.

Last Bible III for the SNES took me about 50-70 hours to beat. I must have heard each of the songs for hours on average. I'm not saying the songs should be looped for hours. At least make them average length (3-4 minutes). Just have them loop a few times. I extended many soundtracks and made them way more enjoyable. I write to them.

The last thing I want to write about is what's next. Well...I am going to do another blog. It's not gonna be for VGM and it's not gonna be on this page. It's still in the early stages but it will be Operation Echo. The purpose of Operation Echo is to make lost media found again. The page is live over at https://operation-echo.blogspot.com. There is no date for the launch of ECHO.
